Is the same guy doing phases II & III that is on phase I? I have found this program to somewhat confusing. Watching the lessons 2 or 3 times, did not seem to help us. I would have to look at the answer key to find out how to get the answer, but didn't understand the why? We are still working through Phase I, we're a little over half way finished. But that's the good thing about homeschooling -- we can take our time. I know this program will not work for my younger son, he is much to inquisitive and wants an answer for everything. I'm checking into Videotext Algebra for him. We've got the sample tape that we are going to sit down together and watch, see his reaction and then go from there. He is very much a hands on person. Give him directions for something, it takes a while, show him how to do it and he "gets it" much better. Anyway, that's just my opinion. You know how I am!

I really don't know why you were confused. The tapes explain everything perfectly. Sigh***

To Faith- Howdy!! I wanted to touch base with you about that algebra set I have to sell. I think Lori is going to buy Module "C" of the set, but I will still have Module A and B if you want it. If not let me know so I can go ahead and sell it.

Hey Charity,
Yep, we are still HSchooling! We are kind of doing something a little different, to give the kids a break from the books. I'm doing some "life lesson" things. My dad just bought a new truck, so Michael has spent time with him learning how to do that - from negotiating the price, to talking with the bank, etc. That was pretty interesting for him.
Since soccer/baseball has kicked off, we've been so busy. Sheyenne and Josh are playing soccer, Michael is playing baseball and David is coaching soccer and baseball and of course, everyone has games a different places, so we are going in at least 3 different directions, but the kids are having a great time.
We've also been busy with church. You know how spring time is - it's the kick off for summer!
Love ya, Faith

Here is a free and complete algebra I online course. Gotta love it!!! We are a group of authors who have had a long and successful career in education and publishing. We feel it is time to give something back to the educational community for its commitment to using our textbooks for over 20 years. Several million students have purchased at least one of our textbooks, but you will now be able to start using those same textbooks along with the teacher's resource material for free. With the current price of a new algebra textbook approaching $110 and publishers bringing out a new edition every three to four years just to prevent students from selling their used books, we have decided to create a site where the textbooks are free. We wish to share our knowledge of mathematics with anyone who wants to learn new material, increase their current understanding, review previous topics, or just explore mathematics. We hope this will be a useful resource for families doing home schooling, people tutoring mathematics, schools that cannot afford to purchase up-to-date textbooks, and anyone else who can benefit from our materials. We have posted one of our beginning algebra textbooks linked to the instructor's solutions manual. You will be able to view it on the web, or download the textbook and the solutions as complete sections. If you are an educator, you can email us for a link to all of the instructor’s resource materials, including tests, quizzes, syllabus, challenge problems and teaching tips. As time and resources allow, we will be adding 9 more free textbooks to this site, and the material will always be accessible to even the slowest of Internet connections. more www.totallyfreemath.com/
