I completely understand, Charity, I know how busy it gets around your house this time of year.
As for my gang, I think we are going to move on to verbs, concentrate on those for the next few week, if that won't interfere with your direction for this co-op.?
I'll try to put some info on verbs here on the board for the other folks using this co-op!

ACTION VERBS
Action Verbs tell what someone or something is doing.
Exercise 1 - Choose an action verb for each sentence. Use each word once.

A verb is a word or phrase indicating an action.
Underline the verbs in the following sentences.
1. Dr. Greene drives to the hospital every day. 2. Mrs. Jones loves to go ice skating. 3. There is a clown doing magic tricks in the mall. 4. My teacher is going to take us to the zoo. 5. My father takes us hiking every Saturday. 6. Sam always wants to play PlayStation. 7. The postman walks every day, except Sunday. 8. The baker bakes great cakes. 9. The waitress served us Coke. 10. We'll continue on with verbs, probably for the next week or so. We take CHRISTmas break beginning on the 20th - January 3.

LINKING VERBS
Linking verbs do not show action. Linking verbs join the subject of a sentence with the predicate of a sentence.
Linking verbs tell what someone or something (the subject) is or is like.
Examples: She is a good friend. is links she and friend. Mexico is a nation in North America. is links Mexico and nation. Mexico is large. is links Mexico and large.
The linking verbs used most often are: am, is, are, was, were.
Singular Plural I am I was we are we were you are you were you are you were he, she, it is he, she, it was they are they were
Other verbs are linking verbs too. Other common linking verbs are: seem, feel, become, appear, look, sound, smell, taste.
