Several businesses offer discounts to homeschoolers; some may require a homeschool group card to "prove" you are a home educator. To receive a HERO card, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope, marked homeschooler card to HERO of Oklahoma, 302 N. Coolidge, Enid, OK 73703-3819. oklahomahomeschooling.org/discount.htm

Home Educator ID Cards The ID cards are made of PVC (just like a drivers license or credit card) that will last the entire school year --- much better than laminated paper. This also makes it more difficult to duplicate. Homeschool ID cards expire August 31 of each year. Educator ID cards need to be renewed prior to the end of August in order to certify continued Educator status. www.homeschoolid.com/homeeducatoridcards.htm
