Please forward this to your support groups and include in your
newsletters as we want to grow this program and continue to offer a
competitive baseball program (west of Atlanta) for homeshool athletes.
To Homeschool Parents and Athletes,
The West Georgia Christian Wranglers are actively seeking players for
our spring baseball program. Last spring (2006), saw our team
consistently improve. Playing junior varsity as a first year team, we
lost our first six games. However, we ended our season with 14 wins
and 17 losses, winning 14 of our last 25 games. Furthermore, we beat
the first two teams that we faced in the end-of-season tournament.
One of the teams that we beat went on to win the tournament with their
only loss coming from our team. The point is...we improved!
Here's another interesting fact about the Christian Wranglers. We
played our entire 2006 spring season with over 30 games on our
schedule for less than $300 from each player. This is far less than
some teams charge just to let your child try-out. Our program is not
a money making program. Our goal is to offer a competitive program
that will help these young men improve and possibly play at the
collegiate level.
The Christian Wranglers are currently planning to offer a Varsity and
Junior Varsity program for 2007. If we attract the talent that we
need and can win a berth to the Homeschool World Series, we plan for
the Varsity team to participate in this program. In addition, we also
plan to take part in at least one showcase tournament designed to
allow college scouts to see the players.
The Wranglers practice and play their home games in Douglas County at
Fairplay Park. For directions to the field and more information on
the Christian Wranglers, please visit our website at:
www.wranglerbaseball.org.
If you are homeschooled or you attend a Christian school that is too
small for a team and would like an affordable option to play
competitive baseball, then you should consider the West Georgia
Christian Wranglers.
Interested individuals should contact Coach Tim Bryant as soon as
possible so that we can begin to prepare for the upcoming season!
