I have an orange tree in my room. Perhaps it was a bad idea to get it in the first place because I really can't give it enough natural lighting, but I bought it anyway. It wasn't doing very well so I began to look into the grow lights. The only problem with these is that they tend to be very expensive and for my needs anyway, clunky. Instead I spent about $20 at my local hardware store and bought 2 full spectrum bulbs that I put in some old lamps I had. This has worked out very well, my orange tree is growing new leaves and branches for the first time in months, and leaves have also stopped falling off of it. Other plants around these lights also have new growth. I always feel that plants are an important part of rooms. Whether they be cut flowers, a flowering plant, or just a green plant. I have even read some places that suggest having at least one plant in every room in the house. So if you have some indoor plants that need more light and you are on a tight budget I would recommend this type of bulb.

Thanks for the tip Sunny--now I have an idea of what I can do to raise tomatoes in my teeny trailer. What a help this will be!
