I have a pin from WWII with both crossed skis and rifles. I've located pins with either crossed skis or crossed rifles but none like mine, with both. Does anyone have any idea how I would find out it's origin. I've searched and searched on the net. Thanks

Hi Medley, I asked a freind of mine about it and here is what he said: This could possibly be a 10th Mountain Division medal for an operation that took place to capture a unique villa. Without more explicit info, it's near impossible to track down. I still think if it's an Army medal, it probably belongs to the 10th mountain division Hope this helps.

I will look in that direction. I didn't mention it but it has "US" right in the center of the pin. If it would help your friend to see a picture, I can email you one. Someone did suggest, like you, that it could be from the 10th and with the added rifles, it could be from an officer from the 10th Mountain Division.

Click the "reply" button. Above the white box you will see on the second row of icons (fourth from the left) an icon that says 'insert image". Click it and place your pick there and walla. You may have to register as a member first.
