The theme for this VBS program is a dinosaur adventure. During the course of this VBS, children will learn about dinosaurs, play games which relate to dinosaurs, and create crafts such as dinosaur masks and feet. While the central teaching of TrueRassic Park has more to do with the reliability of the Bible, the effects of sin, and the gospel, TrueRassic Park does also invest time and energy into lessons which involve dinosaurs. The dinosaur theme of this program sets the stage for the evolution vs. creation debate, showing kids why evolution is an unscientific fantasy and why the Bible is trustworthy. The question of what happened to the dinosaurs sets the stage for lesson about the fatal effects of sin and, ultimately, God's solution for sin.

The Appeal to Children
Kids love dinosaurs. Boys and girls alike are fascinated by them, and many children wonder just how dinosaurs fit into the Bible. TrueRassic Park offers children an opportunity to have their questions answered while hearing a powerful lesson on the reliability of Scripture and the Gospel of Jesus Christ! TrueRassic Park is likely to bring numerous children to your church, especially if you promote it well!

Decorations
To take advantage of the dinosaur theme, we suggest that you decorate your facility accordingly. Fern bushes, dinosaur footprints, dinosaur "dens", and dinosaur and fossil artwork will help to make TrueRassic Park come alive, as well as dinosaur models and toys. Many of these decorations and resources are included with the TrueRassic Park CD-ROM. Please keep in mind that many of the dinosaur items you may be able to acquire in the secular world may incorporate evolutionary theories--but our VBS kit includes many of the decorating and advertising items you'll need.
