The Arkansas State Homeschool Basketball Tournament was held in Conway. The senior girls finished their season with a State Homeschool Championship.
In their first-round game, Saline's senior girls were victorious against Mountain Home, 48-41.
The Lady Warriors were led by their freshman center, Kara Carlton with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Sophomore guard Kimberly Arledge accumulated 13 points, 6 steals and 3 assists. Senior forward Savannah Steiner had 10 points and 9 rebounds.
After receiving a second-round bye, the team succeeded in their quest for a state championship with a 59-53 victory over Pulaski County.
Saline overcame a 4 point deficit at halftime, largely in part to making 15 of 16 second half free throws. Arledge scored 24 points, including 11 of 12 free throw attempts in the 4th quarter. Sophomore guard Karis Miller added twenty points and seven rebounds. Carlton garnered 9 points and 14 rebounds. Arledge, Miller and Carlton were named to the All-State Tournament team. Arledge was the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
The junior girls opened the tournament with a loss, as Saline was defeated 33-26 by Pulaski County.
Arledge was the high scorer for the Lady Warriors with thirteen points. Carlton added 7. Saline outscored Pulaski 21-14 in the second half, but could not overcome a twelve point first half deficit.
In the second round, the junior girls won 33-20 over Jonesboro. Arledge again led the team with 13 points. Carlton had 6, while Miller had 5. Tiffany Cordell contributed 10 steals and 3 assists. Lyndal Steiner had six steals and six rebounds.
Miller guided the junior girls to a win against Fayetteville with 24 points and 5 assists. Arledge finished with 15 points. Carlton amassed 10 points and 13 rebounds. Miller also had 8 rebounds, while Christie Clark had 3 assists. This 51-42 victory gave Saline third place in the tournament. Carlton was named to the junior girls All-State Tournament team.
The Warriors' junior boys played the Northwest Arkansas Lions in the first round. Saline lost, 35-27.
Kyle Mills led Saline with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Daniel Wills had 8 rebounds while Beau Fulcher had 4 steals.
The junior boys narrowly defeated the Fayetteville Knights 38-35 to advance to the third place game. Point guard Fulcher had 13 points, followed by Josh Sohl with 12.
The junior boys were outscored in every quarter, losing to Northwest Arkansas 47-24 in the 3rd place game.
Mills had 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks, leading Saline in each category. Fulcher and Wills each added six points, while Wills had 9 rebounds. Fulcher was the All-State Tournament recipient for the team.

Drew Farley had 16 points to lead his team. Trey Creed followed with 13 points. Andy Hayden collected eight rebounds. The final score was 50-36.
Farley scored 16 points, including four three-pointers, for the senior boys as Saline beat Jonesboro 47-41. Farley also had five steals. Trey Creed turned in 11 points, 19 rebounds and 3 assists. Tim Creed tacked on 5 points and 6 rebounds.
Despite a 23-point performance by Farley, the senior boys were eliminated from the tournament with a 57-36 loss. Farley hit seven three-pointers in the game. Trey Creed contributed 9 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.
